Alice Collins, Nursing Assistant I, for the Cape Girardeau Veterans Home has been selected as the Missouri Veterans Commission July 2007 Employee of the Month.

Alice was selected for her dependability, reliability and kindness towards the residents she cares for and about. Alice was nominated for this recognition by a resident's son who was impressed and appreciative of the care and compassion given to his father when he was restless and wanted to leave the facility. Alice took the resident on her rounds until his restlessness was diffused and he wanted to return to his room.
